The future is female! Womenpreneurs who inspire and impact Albania!
At Startup Grind, May is considered the Women’s month. It’s all about celebrating the achievements and success that Women have achieved throughout their life and sharing it to promote entrepreneurship, empowerment, motivation and leaders of tomorrow.
At Startup Grind Tirana, we would like to celebrate these accomplishments, through the Womenpreneurs we have welcomed throughout the years. These successful names, have arrived at our events with a long entrepreneurship journey, a huge impact on Albanian society and entrepreneurial ecosystem, pushing Albania to higher standards.
Let’s celebrate their accomplishments with some pieces of advise and motivation that they shared during our fireside chats:
“The best investment one can make is to focus on personal development. Being trained in this aspect, will give you all the energy and confidence to succeed and achieve your goals.”
“If I would have a superpower it would be to help people unfold their courage and potential to take initiatives, because it changes your life forever and helps you reach your goals.”
“The desire to work and learn, honesty and integrity are some of the most important elements when building your team. Technical skills are learnable.”
“There might be people who will not support or like your idea. But that doesn’t make your idea a bad one. Consider this as a feedback. Take the feedback and improve your idea and never give up.”
“As Albania is a main distributor of shoes, I am very happy because I was able to show to Europe and the world that with my team of many young talented boys and girls, we achieved international markets in just around 5 years, while for other countries it took a lot more than that.”
“I started my business in Silicon Valley. There I understood how important networking is. In a place like Silicon Valley, full of professionals, I would go out every day to meet and network with a lot of people. This helped me a lot to meet the right people for my entrepreneurial journey.”
Alketa Vejsiu (Class by Alketa)
“My mission as a Woman in business is to professionally grow and empower all the women I have near me and work with on my team.”
Rafaela Rica (Iceberg Communication)
“When I started my business, I wanted to be the first in the field I would operate in. I wanted to create a new impact that would attract others. When starting your business, you should ask yourself what would bring the customers to you and why would they want to return.”
“You have to build relationships with people, before you need them!”
“When you start pursuing something never stop and never give up. Now technology is giving us all the information and answers we need.”
Miranda Ademaj (Skënderbeg Alternative Investments AG)
“Vision is the most important thing. If you have vision, if you have desire, if you love what you are doing and building up, no one will be able to demotivate you. It will all work out 100%.”
Monika Farka (Dynamics Partners)
“If you want to start your business today, test yourself first, find out your strong points, find out your profile, what is missing, what can you improve to be an entrepreneur. If you do this, you will find out what you need to cultivate to become what you aim.”
“Consistency in quality in business is the key. No matter how strong you start and how strong your image is, if you don’t keep the professionalism and aim to be higher than the market, it can be easy to fall.”
“To guarantee success, you need to have a concrete idea or product and a minimal market guaranteed. Only the idea alone, is not enough. There are many great ideas, but the execution makes the difference.”
Aren’t our Womepreneur guests truly inspiring? We are grateful to have hosted each of these impactful Women with our Community to promote entrepreneurship and innovation.
In addition to all the accomplishments described above, we must add that Startup Grind Tirana itself is in fact directed by a Woman.
Aneida Bajraktari Bicja, entrepreneur, co-founder and CEO of Balkans Capital-Financial Services, is the director of the Tirana chapter of the global community of Startup Grind.
Aneida has organized numerous events with the desire to aid the development of the local entrepreneurial system. Her entrepreneurial spirit and pursuits not only engage and inspire but have also contributed in fostering innovation in Albania and region.
We are happy to be part of Startup Grind and showcase our Albanian Woman power with all the other chapters worldwide, to empower and celebrate the potential and achievement of every Woman out there.
